Conservation Commission approves permits and defers warrant article to fall.

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 24, 2026

Shirley Conservation Commission unanimously approved four wetland permits and deferred a warrant-article request. Chair Jennifer McGuinness and the seven-member board issued a Determination of Applicability for a detached garage at 128 Groton Road and an Order of Conditions for National Grid soil-boring activities across multiple wetland resource areas between Leominster and Walker roads. The commission approved a restoration plan for tree-clearing violations at 43 Clark Road (Donell property) and endorsed the FY2025 Annual Report.

Town Administrator requested the commission delay a $10,000 Conservation Land Acquisition Fund warrant article until the Special Town Meeting in fall; the board agreed without formal vote. Two forest and land-management items were tabled to April 14.
