CPC updates 2026 plan, schedules March 11 public hearing

CPC · Meeting of January 14, 2026

Shirley Community Preservation Committee approved updates to its 2026 plan at the January 14 meeting. The committee revised member terms, updated available CPA fund balances as of November 20, 2025, and made the project scoring rubric discretionary. Committee Chair Jay Duffner recommended the administrative account requires no additional funding for the next fiscal year.

Members scheduled a public hearing for March 11 and agreed to publicize it in both The Shirley Local and the Lowell Sun. Community member Jane Tice raised a potential sidewalk project connecting Fredonian Park to Main Street for further research and eligibility review.
