SHIRLEY — The Enhancing Shirley Committee approved spending on Veteran's Row and Whiteley Park improvements, ordering 30 whiskey barrel planters and plaques. Chair Candace King was reimbursed unanimously for flower purchases, path lights, and flags for completion by Memorial Day. The committee approved a sub-committee for Christmas light volunteers and received a $1,000 Charitable Foundation donation toward park benches and planters.
