Enhancing Shirley Committee approves park decorations, sets permanent 7pm start time

SHIRLEY — The Enhancing Shirley Committee unanimously approved seasonal decorations for Whiteley Park and Veterans Row. Four of five members present voted to purchase eight self-watering planters, RGB lighting with bows, and Memorial Day and July 4th ornaments, with installation of the Veterans Row displays planned for early February. The committee also voted unanimously to reimburse Chair Candace King for additional holiday decorations and permanently reset all future meeting times to 7pm.
The next meeting is scheduled for February 19, 2026.
