Shirley Planning Board schedules April 1 public hearing on vehicle-rental bylaw amendment. Vice Chair William Oelfke and members approved moving toward Town Meeting consideration of an amendment permitting lease and rental of automobiles and trucks in the North Shirley Village Business District, following a request from Curtis Nikitas, owner of a self-storage facility at 186 Great Road. The Board also substantially revised the draft Town Trees Bylaw, codifying the Tree Warden's authority, adjusting unauthorized-removal violation fees to Massachusetts General Law limits of $300 to $500, and scheduling further review for March 4.
Three bylaws and one zoning amendment are being coordinated for May Town Meeting presentation.
