Shirley Planning Board unanimously approved four bylaw amendments for the May Annual Town Meeting, including a Public Street Trees Bylaw, Stonewall Bylaw, campaign political-sign restrictions, and amendments to three commercial zoning districts to allow automobile and equipment sales and rentals.

Shirley Planning Board unanimously approved four bylaw amendments for the May Annual Town Meeting, including a Public Street Trees Bylaw, Stonewall Bylaw, campaign political-sign restrictions, and amendments to three commercial zoning districts to allow automobile and equipment sales and rentals. Vice Chair William Oelfke moved the approval, which passed 5-0. The board also unanimously granted a site-plan approval and special permit for a single-family home on Map 72, Parcel A 1.3 on Parker Road in the North Shirley Village Business District, with seven specified trees to be planted--two softwoods with arborvitae on the north boundary, two hardwoods on the south, and three hardwoods along the frontage--and a two-foot stone wall reconstructed along the lot frontage to mimic historic walls along Parker Road.
