Recreation Commission approves bills, revisits AdminSports cost-sharing plan.

Shirley Recreation Commission unanimously approved bills and prior minutes, then continued debate over splitting the $5,749 annual AdminSports fee among its programs. Chair Linda Cournoyer and members Katie Aponte and Matt Thomas said they need detailed registration data from each program to determine a fair allocation before approving a cost-sharing agreement, which will return to the May 11 agenda. Ayer Shirley Youth Soccer's board has hired a coach from Challenger but faces a potential $1,500 cost to house him at a hotel for six weeks, a decision made on the assumption that a host family would volunteer; commission members requested more frequent updates on the hiring from Keith Begun and Jared LaSante, who are managing the arrangement.
