Shirley Select Board closes town meeting warrant with 27 articles approved for voter consideration. Chair Brian Hildebrant and Vice Chair Andree Jean Jacques unanimously advanced the warrant closure and appointed Laurie Witherell to the Personnel Board. Town Administrator Sawyer reported the budget moving forward pending final union negotiations with Clerical and Department of Public Works staff.
The board received a presentation on the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan update and approved two grant initiatives: a Village Roadway Improvement Project funded through an MBTA Communities Catalyst Grant and a $144,702 Energy Efficiency Improvements Project supporting work at Town Hall, Police Station, Council on Aging, and Fire Department.
