Shirley Affordable Housing Trust changes rental assistance income threshold.

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of January 5, 2026

Shirley Affordable Housing Trust raises rental assistance income threshold to 60 percent. Secretary Stuart Sears moved the change, aligning the threshold with neighboring towns' practices; the vote was unanimous. The trust established an application intake process and assigned Sears to revise the rental assistance application with proofreading by member Doreen Quintiliani.

The committee also identified the need for dedicated office space and set up a program email address, SAHTcoordinator@shirley-ma.gov. Quintiliani offered to suggest a candidate for the coordinator position.
