Shirley Conservation Commission approves $4,700 forestry consultant payment, continues two wetlands hearings. Vice-Chair Susan Gillham, with members Marie Elwyn, Dan Knapp, Bonnie Woodward, and Michelle Lydon present, voted unanimously to pay New England Forestry Consultants for a Rich Tree Farm Forest Management Plan update covering stewardship, climate, and bird-related work. The commission opened and continued to May 26, 2026 a public hearing on dam repairs at the Squannacook River near the Groton town line, represented by Haley & Aldrich Inc., and similarly continued a hearing on a proposed single-family home at 0 Leominster Road.
The board also unanimously approved Conservation Agent Mike Fleming's attendance at a June 11 Culvert Replacement Training in Westborough.
