Shirley Recreation Commission approves uniforms, adjusts youth soccer fees. The commission unanimously authorized purchase of Shirley Youth Soccer uniforms at a maximum cost of $2,500, including coach jerseys, and voted to raise spring grade 1-2 registration by $10 and increase all fall 2026 program fees by an additional $10. Registration opens February 1 and closes March 21.
Ayer Shirley Youth Baseball Board representatives Andrew Davis and Bill McTurk reported season progress but noted challenges with high school referees at the boys 3-4 level, prompting discussion of limiting referees to 6-8 entries next year for improved consistency.
